Tez  2006-05-19 12:25:05 ( ID:27akdam0zuw )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

hi!

my problem is:

i used my vob file with de-multiplex to get an m2v and and ac3 file and want to multiplex them to mpg! but i can add them in the "multiplex" window... i choose the files but the windows remains clear.. please help me!

John  2006-10-09 04:08:34 ( ID:noiu8netvmk )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

You must convert your ac3 audio file to a MP2 file.
You can convert the ac3 file to a MP2 file using dBpowerAMP Music Converter.
You can find the latest version of dBpowerAMP Music Converter for free at:
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/bin/dMC-r11.5.exe

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

To convert the ac3 file to a MP2 file:

1.) Open dBpowerAMP Music Converter
2.) Open your ac3 file3.) Choose Mp2
4.) Select Frequency 4800 and Bitrate 384kbps and click on "Convert"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

To multiplex the video and audio together into a MPG file:

1.) Open TMPGEnc Plus
2.) Click on "File" and choose "MPEG Tools"
3.) Choose "MPEG-2 Program VBR" and brouse for your video input (M2V) and your audio input (MP2)
4.) Click on "Run" and it will multiplex the two files into one DVD compliant MPG file

I hope that is of help to you

Question - TE25 - Reducing TMPGEnc's CPU usage No.43607
Milesy  2006-05-18 09:35:54 ( ID:rqnccfglf1r )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

My CPU temp is going upto 97oC when using TMPGEnc, and eventually causes
the machine to shut off.

Is there anyway to reduce how much of the CPU it uses?

martin81d  2006-09-23 12:15:50 ( ID:qzsu1qop8tk )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Milesy, I had a similar problem. The simple fact is there's no way to reduce the CPU usage that TMPGEnc needs. The only solution is to buy a better processor. As fot the shutting down problem, it's probably because your CPU is clogged up with dust and the fan is not able to cool it properly. Once it goes above the maximum operational temperature it will shut off. Open up your PC, take the fan off the CPU unit (it should just click off and on) and clean really well inside it. You should have no more shutting down problems after that. I didn't.

Hbasm  2006-09-30 13:14:17 ( ID:5ut7iozhcnl )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

You shouldn't click the CPU heatsink back on without some arctic silver.

Better yet, don't remove the heatsink at all, only clean the fan.

Or add a case-fan...

There are many ways to cool it down.

Question - TE25 - Differents in GOP-setting between old Tempgenc version 2.512.52.161 and the new version 2.524.63.18 No.43606
Chris Dewaegenaere  2006-05-16 19:59:19 ( ID:yc5o5ipmcqw )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Differents in GOP-setting between old Tempgenc version 2.512.52.161 and the new version 2.524.63.181.

Settings in the GOP-structure of my SVCD template :
Number of I picture in GOP = 1
Number of P picture in GOP = 4
Number of B picture in GOP = 2
Output interval of sequence header = 0
MAX number of frames in a GOP not active

Output bitstream for edit = uncheck (not marked)
Detect Scene change = check (marked)
Force picture type setting = uncheck (not marked)

With setting as described above we get following GOP-structure :

Old Tempgenc : version 2.512.52.161 IBBPBBPBBPBBPBB
This GOP structure begins with I en ends with BB

New Tempgenc : version 2.524.63.181 BBIBBPBBPBBPBBP
This GOP structure begins with BB en ends with P

Whats the correct GOP-structure IBBPBBPBBPBBPBBPBB or BBIBBPBBPBBPBBP
Is this (BBIBBPBBPBBPBBP) a bug in the new version 2.524.63.181 ?

Many thanks.
Chris

Question - TE25 - newbie question on batch No.43602
zcartist  2006-05-10 15:32:38 ( ID:ww5/nf1d0vo )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I have a flash asf recorder saves on sd card. I capture tv shows 352x 240 for pda playback. I go asf to avi then use vdub to take out ads. How do I set the batch function on tmpgenc up to do a bunch of avi to mpg's at once. I've read the boards but can't quite figure the process.

Thanks

Kevin  2006-05-12 02:53:00 ( ID:kzw6ow5urlg )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

To use batch function set up your project (don't run/start it) and then save the project to a file. Do all the projects you need saving each one to a separate file. Now load batch function and add those saved projects. You may save the batch if you want I always do. Now run the batch.

Unfortunately batch does not work with MPEG tools. I'm hoping for that to be included in the next upgrade.

Question - TE25 - Merge and Cut No.43601
Kevin  2006-05-10 04:46:21 ( ID:kzw6ow5urlg )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

A question about Merge and Cut in MPEG Tools TMPGENC 2.5 free version. Using on DVD standard MPEG files. Generally this tool works OK but sometimes I've noticed that it does not follow exactly the cut points I entered. Most often a few extra frames are added or if I'm removing just one frame from the beginning or end of a file it won't do it. I know this has something to do with creating MPEG2 files to a specific multiple number of frames/time code multiple/file size multiple but what exactly are the parameters?

Question - TE25 - AVI File Can Not Open No.43596
shinhuamanda  2006-05-09 23:58:54 ( ID:qttoiuuqaqa )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Every time I try to select an AVI file to convert, it says it cannot open or it is unsupported. I tried downloading the DivX codec but it still says the same thing. Why is the program doing this and what can I do to solve it, please?

plum117  2006-05-10 03:19:20 ( ID:tlfzm9zgd56 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Dowload Gspot codec information appliance (search on google). Then load the movie with it and check the codec you need. Search for the codecs and install them.

Hey,

I have the same problem.

But I can play that avi file with Windows Media player, just cannot open in Tmpgenc.

Help!!!

Wolfgang  2006-09-21 11:50:00 ( ID:akwyiv8rjvm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Same problem with me.
Message:
"AVI-file can not open, or not supported"

I can play the AVI with Media-player.

Gspot reports as codec "mjpg" and it tells me
that 2 compatible codecs are installed on my system:
- AVI Draw
- MJPEG Decompressor

Diego  2007-09-27 03:39:11 ( ID:kw0/v/y.z7. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Exactly same problem here. I can play avis but no open in TMPGEnc 2.5 "AVI-file can not open, or not supported"

Question - TDA2 - Sound Drop Out at .dat file split No.55696
JanB  2006-05-06 16:41:47 ( ID:jvkwpze.iuw )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Regards SW: TDA 2 version v2.1.7.88 (and the same problem in TME v1.3.2.98)

When I import a title from a DVD+RW disc (recorded with a Philips recorder), the file stored on HDD is often splitted into many *.dat files.
When this happens I always get a short sound drop out in every split.
It is also indicated in the edit thumbnail window where the GOP sequence of normally 10 frames in each GOP becomes a GOP of only one frame.

The sound drop out is not only when editing. It is produced in the output and is also visible in the audio waveform window.

This problem does not occur when I import the same DVD-titles using TDA version 1.6.34.89

Does anybody else see this?
/Jan
